The report will evaluate the overall impact of the project and define key strategies for its transfer, sustainability, and future exploitation. Delivery is expected by July 2025.

Jaén, March 2025 – The MicroChip4Age project, funded under the PERTE CHIP initiative and coordinated by the ASIA research group at the University of Jaén, has begun work in March on its Impact Assessment and Valorization Strategy Report. This essential document will evaluate the project’s impact from social, technical, and economic perspectives, and define the necessary strategies for technology transfer, sustainability, and future exploitation.

A comprehensive analysis to ensure impact and continuity

The report is being developed in collaboration with UN-EM (Unique and Emerging Markets), a consulting firm specialized in research result transfer to the market and innovation processes, with over ten years of experience supporting technology transfer offices in Spain and Latin America.

This report will serve as a strategic tool to translate the technological and scientific achievements of MicroChip4Age into tangible social and industrial value. Its completion is expected by July 2025 and will include an analysis of the project’s benefits in its real-world context—particularly its contribution to improving the quality of life of older adults and chronic patients. It will also assess the technical progress made, its applicability, market potential, financial sustainability, and the expected return on public investment.

In addition, the report will identify technology transfer opportunities, potential industrial and institutional partners, and the most suitable market sectors for system deployment, both nationally and internationally. It will also include a preliminary business plan and commercialization strategy, along with practical recommendations to help capitalize on the results and ensure long-term impact.

A decisive step toward transfer and exploitation

With this report, MicroChip4Age reinforces its commitment to impact-driven research, moving forward not only on the scientific and technological fronts, but also in the strategic valorization of knowledge as a driver of real transformation.
