As part of this visit, the research team is conducting experimental testing of one of the core components of its system: the <\/span><b>Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) antennas<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> integrated into the project&#8217;s wearable and environmental devices.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Researchers <\/span><b>Dr. Jos\u00e9 Luis L\u00f3pez Ruiz<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Dr. David D\u00edaz Jim\u00e9nez<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, members of the MicroChip4Age team, are carrying out the experiments in the <\/span><b>anechoic chamber of the Radiofrequency and Antennas Laboratory<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at UV\u2014one of the largest and most advanced in Spain. Directed by <\/span><b>Professor Enrique Navarro Camba<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, this 5 \u00d7 5 \u00d7 8-meter facility provides optimal conditions for highly precise near-field measurements and transformations to far-field results, critical for testing the performance of BLE antennas in complex environments.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1440\" height=\"1080\" src=\"https:\/\/microchip4age.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/camara-anecoica-mc4a-1440x1080.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10351\" srcset=\"https:\/\/microchip4age.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/camara-anecoica-mc4a-1440x1080.jpeg 1440w, https:\/\/microchip4age.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/camara-anecoica-mc4a-600x450.jpeg 600w, https:\/\/microchip4age.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/camara-anecoica-mc4a-768x576.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/microchip4age.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/camara-anecoica-mc4a-1536x1152.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/microchip4age.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/camara-anecoica-mc4a.jpeg 1600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1440px) 100vw, 1440px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><h3><b>High-precision validation in controlled environments<\/b><\/h3><\/h3>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The goal of this phase is to validate the electromagnetic performance and reliability of the BLE components, ensuring their integration with the wearable bracelet and the \u201cpawn\u201d-type beacon device. This experimental process is part of the project&#8217;s roadmap to reach <\/span><b>Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 7<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a key milestone to ensure the system\u2019s readiness for real-world healthcare applications.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The stay is also supported by <\/span><b>Dr. Joaqu\u00edn Torres Sospedra<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a leading international expert in indoor localization and currently a distinguished Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellow at UV. His extensive experience in smart positioning systems and navigation technologies has contributed to enriching the validation process and fostering new avenues for future collaboration.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><h3><b>MicroChip4Age: a home that protects without intruding<\/b><\/h3><\/h3>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of the visit, the team held a scientific session at the <\/span><b>School of Engineering (ETSE)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at UV, where they presented the latest advances of the MicroChip4Age system.
